This project was a one week introductory assignment to passivhaus design strategies. The brief asked for a 100 square foot passive dwelling space in any place in the world.
Nostalgic for a living pod near my childhood home on Mount Butler in Jardine’s Lookout in Hong Kong Isaldn, I chose the top of the mountain, at 1500ft above sea level. This is a residential neighborhood with optimal hiking trails, with the city skyline below your feet. Even with its high winds, this is a prime loca- tion, due to its distance from the financial centers and highly polluted air.
